www.cmj.com/articles/display....php?id=3547883MF Grimm To Release Triple Album! MF Grimm, one of the most inspiring MCs hip-hop has ever produced, will release a the triple CD (!) American Hunger this September 20. "This album is a big bowl of blood for a blood thirsty nation," Grimm says. "Love, Hate, War, Peace, Jealousy. America is a place where everyone loves you when you're a star, but te same people will also call for your head." The triple album will be filled with social commentary from a man who has a lot worth saying. A rising star in the early 90s, MF Grimm (then known as Grim Reaper) was shot multiple times by an undercover police officer when he pulled a gun during a drug investigation. Grimm battled back from the brink of death, blindness, deafness, a lengthy prison sentence and complete paralysis (he remains confined to a wheelchair) to build a record label and put out quality music. He has recorded with everyone from Kool G Rap to MF Doom, and has released two solo albums: the concept record The Downfall of Ibylis: A Ghetto Opera and the recent GM Grimm is Superstar Jet Jaguar. A "lifestyle web magazine" www.americanhunger.com will also be launched to coincide with the release, providing a forum for journalists from various publications to express themselves on issues addressed by Grimm and beyond. www.daybydayent.com

TRIPLE CD NEARS COMPLETION
"I added a bowl of blood to the table, I'm expecting guests."- MF GRIMM
September 19- Choosing art over business expectations, MF Grimm has decided to forego the original release date for his upcoming triple album, American Hunger. Originally announced for a September release, recent events in the world have transpired which Grimm wants to address that have pushed the albums completion back. Even with three CD’s worth of music, Grimm is constantly recording and working on new music. Grimm commented "This is art; It is more than trying to sell an album. Issues need to be addressed, and I’m going to address them. This album is going to be on the planet forever, not just for a release date.” Expect announcement on a final release date shortly.
In other news Day By Day Entertainment, the label/distribution company run by MF Grimm, had a plethora of events at CMJ last week. There were five different artist showcases in all, two for the hip-hop side of the label including performances by Monsta Island Czars, Five Feet Perspectives, Broady Champs, Hasan Salaam and Serengeti. The Bush Babees (who are releasing their upcoming album on Monster Truck Audio/Day By Day Entertainment) made a rare appearance along side Duo Live and Game Rebellion. Day By Day Entertainment’s rock imprint, Rock Day By Day had a sold-out showcase highlighting performances by The Kin, Pnix and the Shadow and The 88s. An all-female performance mixed genres with performances by female MC Toyy, R&B songstress Isis Jones and rock artist Malene Younglao. Finally, Mudville and the Supa Lowery Bros performed at the jazz showcase.
