BET's Nightly News Makes Way for New Format
Posted Aug. 1, 2005 – BET’s Nightly News program ended its four-year run Friday making way for a different news format to include hourly television updates and greater online supplements for the African-American network and BET.com.
When the new format kicks off on BET in October, viewers will still be able to catch anchor Jacque Reid and a t of news correspondents, who will deliver interesting, informative and provocative news throughout the day.
“We’re undertaking a bold new approach to news coverage in direct response to the contemporary ways that BET viewers are accessing news and information,” said newly appointed BET CEO Debra Lee. “Our redesigned news product will be fast-paced, comprehensive and diverse in its style, means of delivery, subject matters and frequency on BET."
Stay tuned!

I think it is slowly but surely turning into MTV. I think after the Whites are done with it it is not going to be smething that Black people can identify with. I mean dang we lost AJ and Free , they were the symbol of the classic BET' 106 and Park.
